Viewing file: readme.txt (1.42 KB) -rw-rw-rw- Select action/file-type: (+) | (+) | (+) | Code (+) | Session (+) | (+) | SDB (+) | (+) | (+) | (+) | (+) | (+) | Installation instruction 1. Edit configuration variables in the file api/init.php. Follow the guidelines therein. 2. Upload files to the server. 3. Execute the file api/setup.php from your browser (remove it after installation). 4. If you want to track the country your visitors come from, install ip-to-country database. The script api/setup.php will create the table, so you just need to fill the table with the contents of ip-to-country database. Most hosting providers have online tools for handling MySQL database. You can download a free ip-to-country database from my site, however it is outdated. If you want more accurate statistics then you need to purchage some commercial ip-to-country database. 5. Edit JavaScript file tools/count.js. On line 40 you will find the following code: sc1980isl_req = "http://www.domain.com/sitestats/tools/count.php"; Replace the URL with the real URL of tools/count.php file. 6. Install JavaScript on the pages you want to track: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://domain.com/path/to/sitestats/tools/count.js"> </script> Replace the URL with the real URL of tools/count.js file 7. The homepage of site statistics script is sitestats/index.php. Thank you for using my scripts! Ilya Lyubinskiy ilyalyu@yahoo.com http://www.php-development.ru/ |
